The Company

We are excited to partner with a company that is inventing sustainable fracturing methods to extract natural resources with an end goal to make geothermal heating a possibility. This exciting position would be working in Boston, MA.  Relocation assistance is available, unfortunately we are not able to provide visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Your Impact

  • Take an active role in the development of new experimental apparatuses and testing protocols
  • Conduct diverse geomechanics experiments including core flooding investigations, reactive transport, and proppant and rock strength/fracturing tests using High-Pressure High-Temperature (HPHT) Triaxial cells
  • Develop the Lab Safety Protocol and other EHS duties
  • Conduct fundamental and advanced research to support field investigations, and to test and develop new technologies before their deployment in the field
  • Training of new technicians in the R&D laboratory
  • Willingness to learn and share knowledge and challenges to benefit the team
  • Prepare and present project updates, technical presentations and reports for the client
  • Prepare governmental reports, funding proposals, research papers, presentations, etc

About You

  • MS in Civil/Geotechnical/Geological/Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience (including research work completed during MS/PhD degree)
  • Familiarity with equipment design, fabrication, and troubleshooting. Expertise with CAD/CAM is highly desirable
  • Experience with data acquisition and control systems (hardware and software). Mechatronics is a plus
  • Good/Advanced programming skills in Matlab/Python. LabView and C++ are a bonus

Compensation

$130,000 - $150,000
