Build a product that is greatly increasing the speed at which renewable energy sources are deployed and connected to the grid by helping developers to identify suitable project locations and then automating the traditionally time-consuming testing and approval process on behalf of utility providers.
Your Impact
As an experienced Computational Software Engineer you will be extend a modern C++ codebase to enable new features and interfaces in an electric grid simulation and optimization platform. You will be responsible for implementing new models, algorithms, and API functionality to help our users more efficiently and more accurately assess the impact of new renewable energy project interconnections. You will work with existing members of the team and partners to test, validate, and deploy our solutions for grid planning and interconnection studies.
Your work will help project developers deploy more (and better) zero-carbon generation projects on the grid!
About you
- 6+ years of experience as a professional software engineer developing and shipping high-performance software products
- Proficiency in C++; knowledge of Python is a plus
- Knowledge of power systems, numerical methods for simulation and/or optimization and electronic design automation tools and methods are pluses
- MS/PhD in EE/CE/ECE/CS is preferred
