A mission-driven climate-tech company backed by top investors is scaling rapidly and seeking a dynamic Head of Sales to drive growth in the clean energy software market. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution: someone eager to build and mentor a high-performing sales team while personally delivering strong results with customers.
Your Impact
As Head of Sales, you’ll serve as both a quota-carrying Account Executive and a team leader. You will:
- Carry and exceed a $2M+ ARR quota, closing deals directly with utilities, IPPs, and energy customers
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of two AEs, with responsibility for future hires as the team expands
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies that shorten sales cycles and expand market penetration
- Collaborate closely with product, marketing, and leadership to shape messaging, refine value propositions, and align offerings with customer needs
- Build a culture of excellence in enterprise SaaS sales, modeling best practices in pipeline management, forecasting, and customer engagement
About You
- Proven SaaS sales success: Consistently achieved/exceeded quota in enterprise software sales, ideally with ARR targets in the $2M+ range
- Domain expertise: Experience selling software to utilities, IPPs, or energy infrastructure organizations
- Leadership ability: Track record of mentoring, coaching, and growing sales teams. Previous “player-coach” experience strongly preferred
- Strategic + tactical: Comfortable shaping GTM strategy while personally closing complex deals
- Startup mindset: Thrive in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment where ownership and adaptability are key
