We’re partnering with a mission-driven climate tech startup that is building data-driven software to accelerate the clean energy transition. The company is profitable, growing quickly, and focused on solving one of the biggest bottlenecks in renewable energy deployment: connecting new projects to the grid.

Your Impact (Responsibilities)

You’ll lead the development of software and data products that renewable energy developers rely on every week. Your work will directly accelerate renewable energy projects breaking ground and moving forward.

This role blends traditional software product management with the challenge of mastering a highly technical, niche domain. You’ll be responsible for launching new features, expanding into new markets, and shaping entirely new product lines—all while working closely with engineers and industry experts.

Some example projects you might take on:

• Launch new geographic markets across the U.S.
• Ship new features to improve existing product workflows.
• Build MVPs for new product concepts in adjacent areas.
  

Day-to-day, you’ll:

• Conduct ~3 hours of user interviews per week to gather insights and feedback.
• Manage small, cross-functional teams of 3–4 people (PM, software engineers, domain experts).
• Collaborate with domain experts (e.g., transmission engineers) to understand technical requirements.
• Translate user needs into mockups and specifications (e.g., in Figma).
• Spend ~5 hours a week analyzing data using Python or SQL to inform decisions.

About You

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Product Manager
• Mission-driven and motivated to work on climate solutions
• Comfortable engaging directly with customers and translating their needs into product requirements
• Strong analytical skills with experience in Python, SQL, or similar tools
• Excited to work alongside technical experts and dive into new, complex subject matter
• Prior experience in a niche or highly technical domain is a plus
• Background in software or design tools (e.g., Figma) is helpful but not required
• Thrive in ambiguity and enjoy taking ownership in a fast-paced startup environment
• Flexible and adaptable—comfortable shifting priorities as the company grows
